Orienteering Training in DC/MD/VA area

Hello Everybody!

Hope you all are doing well. I'm letting you know that Quantico Orienteering Club will be having a training event this Sunday, November 20th at Cabin John Regional Park in Bethesda, MD. This event will focus primarily on beginners and people ready to attempt a move up to an intermediate course. Cabin John is a smaller park, so there is no fear of being hopelessly lost.

Coaches for training and shadows (advanced runners who can accompany you on your course to give feedback and tips) will be available. I am working on getting a sign language interpreter for the coaches and I can also help out withct ASL instruction in either capacity.

There will be a fun 3-person relay event in the afternoon, so people can practice their newly learned skills from the morning. Teams can be mixed, any gender, age, or skill. The whole event should be over by 3pm, so plenty of time to get back home to watch your favorite NFL team kick off at 4pm. :-)

Pre-registration before Saturday morning is required and the website is here: https://www.qocweb.org/events/2022/11/20/cabin-john
Let me know if you have any questions. I hope to see you there!
